There are sixteen properties to choose from including whitewashed period cottages and barn conversions ideally located in the heart of the village of Marhamchurch to a secluded farmhouse nestling in a valley that leads to the sea.

All cottages are no-smoking.

Court Farm Holidays is run by the Trewin family alongside their working farm estate which has been in the family for generations.

The Trewins have been hosting guests for many years and are pleased to see so many return year after year. The family focus on providing all the little extras that will make your stay comfortable and hassle free. They will willingly arrange babysitters, a catering service, taxis or advise you on the most beautiful country or coastal walks nearby.

All facilities are provided at no extra cost and include stair gates, cots, high chairs and luxury gas barbeques - so all you need to pack is your clothes.

Open all year round, Court Farm Holidays caters for all ages and varying tastes either for week by week holidays or short breaks.

Court Farm, located in the centre of the delightful village of Marhamchurch, provides a range of typical Cornish accommodation. Additionally, just up the coast at Northcott, amidst 400 acres of farm land that leads down to the sea, is a secluded Georgian period farmhouse that can sleep up to 17 & just perfect for house parties.

NORTHCOTT FARMHOUSE

You will find this Georgian period farmhouse wonderfully secluded and together with the option to book a private catering service it can make the perfect venue for celebrations, reunions and house parties.

The farmhouse has extensive facilities to make your stay special. There are two large lounges complete with large TV and DVD/VCR. One is a traditionally styled Georgian sitting room complete with stripped floorboards and comfy sofas overlooking the garden. The second is ideal for entertaining; its French doors lead out onto the patio and barbeque area which has stunning views down the valley to the Atlantic Ocean. Additionally, there is the “snug” which can either be a private sitting room for the double bedroom above with private staircase located in the “annex” or serve as an additional lounge.

The large gardens have a children’s play area complete with swings, a climbing frame, sandpit and ample room for softball games. During bad weather and the winter months children and those young at heart can entertain themselves in the converted heated cellar. It contains a pool table and table football.

Court is a 300 year old farmhouse and the former family home of the Trewin family. It is located in the centre of Marhamchurch village and is full of old world character and charm.

It has been tastefully renovated over the years in traditional farmhouse style and still boasts many of its original features together with a pretty enclosed garden and patio area.

There is spacious living accommodation; a lounge complete with three comfy sofas and in the large original stone fireplace a gas wood burner. The adjoining large dining room has a large dining table and an original inglenook fireplace with ornamental stove. Next to the dining room (down 2 steps) is a fully fitted and equipped modern shaker style kitchen.

Charming views extend over the centre of the village, the garden and farmland beyond. Court Farmhouse has ease of access to all the facilities at Court Farm and village life.

Southpark is a recently refurbished 3 bedroomed detached bungalow with countryside views and a large enclosed garden, with full use of all our facilities at Court Farm.  It is only a short walk away and enjoys a quiet location. It has 2 double bedrooms with 5 foot oak beds (one bedroom en-suite), a twin room and a separate bathroom plus shower cubicle.

The new oak kitchen has a slate floor, the patio doors leads onto raised and enclosed patio with steps to the garden. There is a spacious dining /lounge with 28" T.V, Freeview and DVD player. The over- all style has a contemporary feel with wooden floors, leather sofa's and oak furniture throughout.

COURTYARD COTTAGES

A selection of six beautifully converted barns all set around a pretty courtyard with views out to open countryside. Situated at Court Farm in the centre of the village of Marhamchurch these cottages provide safe, direct access to all children’s facilities and the indoor swimming pool. Originally converted in 1988, the properties have all recently been tastefully refurbished in a blend of traditional style and contemporary comfort.

The Granary is the largest of the Courtyard cottages. Recently, tastefully refurbished in a blend of traditional and contemporary style it boasts three bedrooms and one bathroom with over-bath shower and one shower room  with a slated floor.

A spacious lounge area with large TV, open plan kitchen and dinning room is found on the first floor with lovely countryside views towards the coast.

MILL HOUSE

The Mill House is spacious and full of character set over three floors. Recently it has been tastefully refurbished in a more contemporary style.  A spacious double bedroom and bathroom with over bath shower is situated on the first floor and two character bedrooms featuring sloping ceilings and magnificent views are located on the second floor. A lounge complete with large TV and the kitchen are found on the ground floor.

COURT COTTAGES

Four period cottages, each with their own character and style, are located in the centre of the delightful village of Marhamchurch. They each have access to private and enclosed gardens.

The cottages are a short walk from Court Farm and guests can access all Court Farm facilities including an indoor swimming pool and hard surface tennis court.

They are all Saturday - Saturday bookings. 

HONEYSUCKLE

Honeysuckle cottage retains much individual character and period charm with its twisted beams and slate floors in the kitchen & lounge. A door off the lounge leads to an enclosed garden and patio area with picnic table. The garden is peaceful and relaxing and gets the sun for most of the day.

Honeysuckle cottage is decorated in a traditional style with contemporary comfort. The cosy lounge boasts a wood burning stove in a lovely inglenook fireplace and this cottage also benefits from a separate dining room. On the first floor are two bedrooms and a bathroom with over-bath shower. This cottage is suitable for up to 2 well behaved dogs and their owners that wish to explore the local beaches and countryside.

Wheelwright cottage is situated next door to honeysuckle cottage and retains much original charm and character with its slate flooring in the lounge/dining room and wood burner in the inglenook fireplace.

The kitchen is well equipped and leads to a sunny patio area with table and chairs in a lovely enclosed garden.

Upstairs the floorboards have been stripped and the double and twin rooms are traditionally furnished and decorated. The bathroom has an over-bath shower. This cottage is suitable for up to 2 well behaved dogs and their owners.

FUCHSIA

Fuchsia Cottage is a delightful period cottage with bags of individual character. It’s lounge features twisted original beams and a gas fuelled wood-burner sits in the original inglenook fireplace complete with an original clome oven. There is a fully fitted kitchen/diner. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with over-bath shower.

Fuchsia’s enclosed garden is reached just past neighbouring Lilac cottage, only a few paces away and is complete with its own picnic table.

Lilac Cottage’s lounge is full of Cornish cottage character. A slate floor and a wood burner invitingly sits in the shapely fireplace complete with original clome oven. Beamed ceilings run throughout the ground floor. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen/diner. The adjoining enclosed garden is of a nice size and enjoys sun for most of the day. It comes complete with picnic table

Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with over-bath shower. This cottage is suitable for up to 2 well behaved dogs and their owners but please note guests staying in Fuchsia Cottage must pass by Lilac Cottage to reach their private garden.

COURT HOUSES

The three Court Farm Houses are traditionally styled, luxurious newly built cottages with private gardens. Located adjacent to Court Farm they provide safe child access to all facilities but are set in a village setting just opposite the local pub.

Mulberry is a detached house, has a garage and a private enclosed garden complete with patio and garden furniture. The ground floor has an entrance hall with cloakroom and w/c, a spacious lounge with comfortable sofas, gas fire and the 28 inch TV screen has Freeview. The dining room has patio doors leading to the garden which also adjoins the farmhouse style kitchen and utility room.

The three bedrooms are on the first floor together with a family bathroom with over bath shower.

SYCAMORE

Two bedrooms and a very small single bedroom (suitable for a child only) and bathroom with over-bath shower are on the first floor.

Over the years we have come to understand what facilities contribute to make your holiday extra special. We aim to provide a home from home experience. Our kitchens are fully equipped with all modern appliances and all properties have access to washing machines at no extra cost. Two coin operated tumble driers are located in the courtyard drying room. 

Specific facilities can vary from property to property. Below we have listed what you can expect in your accommodation together with any extras that is accommodation specific.  

New for 2007 is our on-site beauty and holistic therapist, Joanne offering treatments on Mondays and Wednesdays.

LOCATION

Court Farm is very much part of Marhamchurch village life. It is within a few paces of the Village pub, The Bullers Arms & the Post Office & shop and set amongst the quaint cottages and houses of whitewashed stone which surround the village’s splendid historic church. Within ten minutes you can enjoy a range of  activities 5 Blue Flag beaches, go fishing (sea, lake or play golf, go horse-riding, walk along the beautiful coastal paths, explore the countryside on foot or by bicycle, or visit the local town of Bude.

NORTHCOTT
Northcott is in a secluded location, just 2 miles north of Bude on the North Cornwall Coast. Set in the heart of the Trewin family’s 400 acre estate, it gazes out across farmland, down a small valley to the stunning North Cornwall coastline.

A leisurely stroll through the green meadow leads you down to the lovely Northcott Mouth beach - you can swim, surf or just laze on the beach in the summer or discover it superbly deserted during the winter months. From Northcott Mouth beach you can walk the Atlantic heritage coast to Sandymouth, a National Trust run beach, or if you are feeling extremely energetic onward to Duckpool. Walk in the other direction to the local seaside town of Bude with its two blue-flag awarded beaches.

BUDE
The local town of Bude is only 10 minutes away by car, or by foot, from Marhamchurch along the picturesque canal path or from Northcott via the coastal footpath.  Bude offers traditional and contemporary seaside town shopping and entertainment, supermarkets and a wide selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants and nightlife for your evening’ s entertainment. The town’s glorious beaches include two blue flag awarded beaches, one with a safe seawater swimming pool. Additionally, there is a golf course, 'Splash' indoor leisure centre and horse riding stables.

The Tamar Lakes, the source of the river Tamar that divides the two counties of Devon and Cornwall are situated just a few miles inland. The Lower Tamar Lake offers coarse fishing, bird-watching and shoreline walking, while the upper Tamar Lake provides facilities and instruction for a range of water sports including sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.

NORTH CORNWALL

North Cornwall consists of sixty miles of dramatic Atlantic coastline with clean sandy beaches, hidden coves and pretty fishing villages to discover. In land you will find wooded river valleys, bustling market towns and the beguiling beauty of Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.

Staying at Marhamchurch provides easy access onto the A39 and with 20 minutes you can reach the pretty fishing village of Boscastle, explore King Arthur’s medieval castle at Tintagel. Venture further on to Clovelly or Port Isaac or take your bike along the Camel trail at Wadebridge to Padstow and discover its gastronomic delights.

The renowned Eden Project can be reached within an hours drive as can a choice of three national parks that provide excellent walking and mountain biking.

Surfing
For the experienced surfer we have at least 7 good surf beaches within 5 miles. It’s a well kept secret but some of the best surf on the Atlantic coastline happens from September to March.
The surfing break at Northcott Mouth is only 12 mile stroll across fields from Northcott Farmhouse which has plenty of safe storage space for your boards and wetsuits.For novices who would like to give this exhilarating and fun sport a try we can arrange tuition at one of the many local qualified surf schools.

Watersports
The surrounding beaches provide a haven of opportunities for the keen watersport enthusiast. There are also many opportunities for the beginner to learn a new hobby under professional instruction either in the sea or just a few miles inland at the upper Tamar Lake. Cyclists
All members of the family can bring their bikes to explore the local area there are beautiful bike trails to suit all abilities.
Take the cycle trail along the old canal into Bude or drive to Wadebridge and you can ride along the Camel Trail to Padstow (5 miles). In the opposite direction in North Devon the Tarka trail covers a route of 180 miles. Whatever the level there are endless routes to explore. Walking
All of the Court Farm Holiday properties offer easy access onto North Cornwall’s dramatic section of the South West Coast Path. Additionally, you can enjoy the un-spoilt countryside of the North Tamar walking along the Bude Canal which was originally opened in the 1820's. This is a pleasant walk combining grassy coastal cliff paths and inland fields with the quiet and peaceful canal.

For those of you with an interest in ancient battles - you should explore the Stratton Battlefield. A walk of approximately two hours it explores the site of an Iron Age Fort, where the Civil War battle of Stamford Hill took place in 1643, between the Royalist Army and Parliamentarian Troops.
