COVID-19 Information

The Latest Updates

Date: 19th July 2021.

As we continue to follow Government Guidelines with regards to the Safety and and Health of our staff and guests – Please read on for more information on our additional hygiene and social distancing safety measures that we have put in place and will continue to do so.

Our priority is the safety of guests and our team, which means that while some elements of your holiday have may have had to change slightly, we know that we can still offer you a great base for a great holiday!

Cleaning Procedures

Firstly, we continue to ensure that your property is cleaned and sanitised in line with the COVID-19 Cleaning Guidance issued by the Professional Association of Self Caterers (PASC). This additional housekeeping does however have a knock-on effect with arrival and departure times which we will confirm with booked guests nearer the time.

Hand sanitiser dispensers are located in the swimming pool and the entrance to the play area, but we would appreciate you bringing your own small bottle of hand sanitiser to carry at all times for that extra peace of mind.

All bed linen is provided, however if you would prefer to bring your own bedding, please let us know so that we can leave the beds unmade, with just mattress protectors on for you.

Facilities and Activities on Site

Our swimming pool and tennis court is available to guests staying at Court Farm, Marhamchurch, on a rota basis – allowing each household their very own exclusive 45 mins swimming session.  Guests will be sent an email with a link to our booking system a day prior to arrival. As we have no facility to clean them in-between guests swimming sessions, our changing rooms, toilet and shower cubicles within the Pool enclosure remain closed, so guests are advised to change and shower in their accommodation.  Again as we have no means to clean them in-between guests use –  Our Games Rooms at Court Farm and Northcott Farmhouse remain closed.

The Animals are available for you to visit in the Animal Field and we are now conducting Monday Morning Animal Feeding sessions so that we can introduce the animals to you and show you how to feed and pet them.  Your children can then visit them at any time during the remainder of your stay, but in doing so, (including letting the children use our play area) will be at your own risk.

Communal Areas and Equipment

As many of you know, we usually offer lots of extra gear for guests to borrow but if it cannot be safely cleaned between uses we are sad to say that we no longer offer it to you (e.g. Toy Boxes, books, games, even bed guards) so please don’t be offended if we ask bring your own – if you have any questions about what falls into this, do drop us an email.

We supply hand soap in all kitchens and bathrooms together with cleaning and anti-viral spray under your sink in your cottages, but suggest that, for your own safety, if you wish to use the tennis court, you bring your own rackets and balls if you have them – the same applies to the hire of our wetsuits and bikes, we still have these for you to hire and the facilities to disinfect them but unfortunately use will, again, be at your own risk.

What we are asking you to do to help us ensure that you have a safe & enjoyable holiday

The most important thing to remember is the need to adhere to the latest relevant socially distancing rules .   We know this is difficult for children but please do you best to ensure that they keep a safe distance, and that hands are washed after touching any communal services such as gates, door handles etc.

We would ask that you minimise asking us to enter your cottage during your stay. If, for example, a dishwasher doesn’t work, we can try and sort it out over the phone in the first instance.  If someone does have to come into the property, then we will ask that you let us know when you are going out so that they can come in when the barn is empty. If this is not possible then please explain as much as possible what the problem is and vacate the appropriate room while they are working

Please follow the pool guidelines, vacate your slot in good time ready for the next session.

Be rigorous in following social distancing when out in public.

Your Health

If you show any signs of having the virus then you must immediately go and get tested by contacting

The result must be shown to us. If positive, you will need to leave if any Member of your party can drive you. If that is not possible and you have to self-isolate here, then you will be have to pay for all bookings that have to be cancelled as a result.

We will need you to provide, names, telephone numbers and email addresses of everyone in the party, so that we can pass this onto the NHS if it is required. This information will not be used for any other purpose. This must be provided at the point of arrival or before.  We also have our own QR Code at Reception which you can scan upon arrival.

Remember the best way to stay safe is to regularly wash hands thoroughly.

Our COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

Should your booking not be able to go ahead due to Coronavirus restrictions, eg another National Lockdown or Tier 3 & 4 Restrictions – if you don’t have travel insurance as recommended in our Standard  Terms & Conditions, then we we will seek to reschedule your stay within 12 x months of your original booking date, or refund monies paid,  less a £50 admin fee required to cover the costs of organising your stay.     Please note this policy does not apply to illness, the need to self isolate, or if guests choose not to take out their stay as they are feeling unsure about it – that will be covered under your travel insurance which we highly recommend you take out as per  our Standard Terms and Conditions .  Please note as much notice should be given to cancel or reschedule a stay eg at least 6 x weeks to give us sufficient time to re-advertise the property and give you your money back.

As a small, independent family owned and run business, like so many of you, we have had to make difficult decisions in these extraordinary times and would also like to thank everyone who has stayed with us, visited us and enjoyed our facilities, since we re-opened (Last July – then closed – then re-opened !) , for all their support and for the very positive way everyone has responded to our COVID-19 measures.

We hope this information is helpful. We’d like to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure your safety whilst giving you a lovely holiday. We will continue to update this notice with any significant changes as we receive the relevant information, and would like to thank you for your understanding, and for being patient with us during this unprecedented time.

Please do not hesitate to email us at with any questions or worries you might have and we will do our utmost to help.

Best Wishes,

Court Farm Holidays
