February

Throughout February – The lost Gardens of Heligan, Mavagissy: Earth Photo Exhibition Earth Photo is an international competition and exhibition created by Forestry England and the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) to showcase photographs and videos that document the natural world.

3rd February – The Cave, Central Square, Newquay: The Ultimate Glow Party. Starting at 9pm – 3am come and join in one the biggest DJing events in Newquay. 

13th February – Preston Gate – Bude: Cousin Jack. A group of Cornish shanty singers! Get ready to embark on a musical journey as Cousin Jack takes the stage, bringing the rich tradition of Cornish sea shanties to life. Let the waves of harmony wash over you as this talented group delivers an authentic and captivating performance.

16th February – Preston Gate – Bude: Smokey Kind Shufflers. Brace yourself for an evening of bluesy brilliance as the Smokey King Shufflers, a Chicago Blues sensation, take center stage. Let the soulful melodies, smooth rhythms, and heart-wrenching guitar licks transport you to the heart of the blues.

14th, 16th and 17th February – Eden Project, Bodelva: Valentine’s Dinner. This Valentines they are offering an intimate dinning experience in the rainforest biome. 

10th – 18th February – Newquay Zoo, Newquay: Haft Term at the Zoo. From prize draws to feeding experiences they have you covered this half term. 

10th – 18th February – Eden Project, Bodelva: Half Term Happenings Come and explore the world of science and technology, and how they can help build us a better future. 

10th February – The lost Gardens of Heligan, Mavagissy: Six Inches of Soil – Special preview Screening. Join in with this very special film which follows the inspiring story of British farmers standing up again the industrial food system. 

13th February – Clovelly, Bideford: Lentsherd (pronounced ‘Lanshard’) is an old Clovelly Shrove Tuesday custom. Historically the aim is to chase bad spirits away and drive the devil into the sea before Lent. This has been going on for centuries. At dusk children set off Down-a-Long, dragging their clattering tin cans.

15th February – RHS Rosemoor, Torrington: Magic Luke. An interactive and energetic magic show, filled with fun and silliness to entertain the whole family Suitable for all ages.

16th February – RHS Rosemoor, Torrington: Gardner Lilly’s Storytime Adventure. A delightful show from head gardener Lilly to tell her tales to all! You may know Head Gardener Lilly from her hard work every summer entertaining our visitors outdoors with her friends, now she takes centre stage, and indoors in case it’s raining! 

16th February – The lost Gardens of Heligan, Mavagissy: Valentine’s Lost Supper. This February, we invite you to a Valentine’s feast where you’ll rekindle your love for food with a incredible seven course tasting menu. 

24th February – Jamican Inn, Bodmin: Murder Mystery. An evening of entertainment with an Italian theme, where a team of actors unfolds a murder mystery for you to solve over a delicious 3-course meal.  Tickets £55pp including dinner, booking advised. 

25th February – Jamican Inn, Bodmin: Ghost Hunt. After a 3-course dinner, a night of paranormal investigating, moving around the Inn, using different methods to try and communicate with the spirits.  The evening starts at 7pm and finishes between 2am and 3am.  £85pp including dinner.  Booking essential

March

5th March – The Old Inn St Breward, Bodmin: Boscastle Buoys in St. Piran’s Day. St. Piran’s Day is on Tuesday 5th March and to continue our Cornish celebrations, we have the Boscastle Buoys joining us to get us into the Cornish spirit.

Throughout March – Newquay Zoo, Newquay: Bing and Flop meet and greet. From the aware winning series Bing and Flop are visitig Newquet Zoo. Along with activities  and activity trail. 

Throughout March – Eden Project, Bodelva: Early years activities. Come and connect with Eden with lots of under 5’s activities exploring the natural world. 

9th March – The Big Sheep, Bideford: Wrestling Fight Night Special. Get ready for an evening of bone-crushing action of wrestling. 

10th March – Eden Project, Bodelva: Mothers Day FRE ENTRY Mums will be the star of the show and to make the day special Eden Project are offering free entry for mums.

16th March – The Big Sheep, Bideford: Fight Night Boxing. Raising money for Cardiac Risk for the young.

17th March – The lost Gardens of Heligan, Mavagissy: Walks of a Curious Nature. This brand new Heligan experience combines seasonal storytelling with an immersive nature promenade.  

28th March (Plus more dates) – Milky Way Theme Park, Bideford: Unique Easter Grotto. From Thursday 28th March to Sunday 7th April we’ve a feast of chocolatey Easter fun laid on for you! Journey down the rabbit hole to our unique Easter Grotto to collect your chocolatey treat from the Easter Bunny…

29th March – 1st April – Clovelly, Bideford: Find the Easter Chicks. Children receive a village map on entry to Clovelly. This is to mark the location of a number of Easter chicks perched up and down the cobbled High Street to the quay. If they spot at least 10 chicks they can return the map to the Visitor Centre reception to win a prize.

29th March (Plus more dates) – Lanhydrock House, Bodmin: Easter Egg hunt. Hop, race and hula-hoop your way through and historic site and collect a chocolate egg too.
