Hidden away in a corner of our 400 acre farming estate  ‘Chough Shepherd Hut’ offers compact luxury for 2 guests.  With fully equipped kitchen, Bedroom area with Double Bed, Smart TV, spacious shower room with large shower, hand sink, towel rail & wc.  Wardrobe, Chest of Drawers & under-bed storage.

Step outside directly onto the decked area with outdoor dining furniture, wood-fired hot-tub and a generous garden area with relaxing chairs, BBQ & Firepit.

There is an additional small storage shed where you can hang any wet coats / wellies / wetsuits / outdoor gear.

The Hut is hand crafted and built to the highest standard. One end is fully glazed to enjoy uninterrupted views across our farmland out to the sea. The Hut is fully insulated, powered by Solar Panels and available all year round.  Guests can also enjoy super-fast Wifi and the 4G signal is great. 

The Shepherd’s Hut immediate area is fully enclosed within a 4ft picket fence, so secure for dogs, please be aware you are surrounded by farm land – that is still actively farmed and grazed by farm animals, including our horses and ponies who graze in the field across the fence from the Shepherd Hut. 

The Shepherd Hut is accessed via a farm track, so we advise that, should you be bringing your sports car, you take it easy over some bumps. Once you arrive at the entrance gate, you can drive right up the hut, making unpacking easy.

DOGS:

We allow guests to bring up to 2 x dogs – for an extra charge of £25/dog (coa) – Guests are asked to ensure that their dogs are up to date with their flea treatment and to bring their own dog bed / blankets and not to let their dogs up onto the bed/furniture.

SURROUNDING AREA:

You can walk to the local beach at Northcott Mouth beach, along our private farm lane in 20-30 mins (depending on pace) .. which has a great pop-up café with regular music during the Summer months. From here you can head South to Crooklets & Summerleaze  Beaches in Bude with our wonderful Sea Pool in Bude in-between – or go North to neighbouring Sandymouth Beach – all have fantastic beach cafes to grab a refreshment/Snack. 

The Preston Gate Pub is also just a mile’s walk inland, serving great food, drink and has regular music nights (Booking highly recommended). 

Picturesque villages that dot the region, including Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Padstow and under 30 mins drive away, the Eden Project – with surrounding Moorlands of Bodmin & Dartmoor or Head North into Devon to explore gems like of Clovelly , Instow, & again Exmoor’s National Park
