Booking & Payment

Can I book online?

Yes, please submit a booking request via our availability and booking page where you can enter all of your details securely, including your payment details. Once we receive your booking summary we will review it, confirm availability, process your payment and then send you email confirmation.

How can I pay?

Credit or debit card is our preferred method of payment and there is no charge. We accept all major credit cards except Amex. You can either ring us with your details, or enter them into our online booking form via our website.

Deposit and balance payments can also be made securely via our Sagepay link in your emailed booking confirmation.

Should you prefer to pay by bank transfer, you’ll find our details and full instructions on your booking summary.

How much deposit do I have to pay?

A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking with the 75% balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.  If you make your booking within 6 weeks of arrival then the full payment is required.

Do you offer short breaks?

Short breaks are a great way to rest and revitalise. Our welcoming homely cottages and houses are the perfect place for a mini holiday.

Enjoy a weekend stay or mid-week break with us from mid-September to mid-June outside of school holidays.

I cannot see a price for my chosen dates?

Please contact us if you are having any difficulties with the online booking system.

What if I need to cancel?

Any cancellation for whatever reason shall be in writing and addressed to Court Farm Holidays. On receipt of notice of cancellation, Court Farm Holidays will seek to re-let the property for the period of booking. If Court Farm Holidays succeeds in re-letting the property for the whole period it shall refund all the monies paid less an administrative charge of £50 per booking. If Court Farm Holidays only succeeds in re-letting the property for part of the period booked it shall refund an amount equal to the money paid less (1) the rental for the period which is not re-let and (2) an administrative charge of £50. If Court Farm Holidays is unable to re-let the property at all then all monies paid by the Client shall be forfeit to Court Farm Holidays. Court Farm Holidays strongly recommends Clients to take out Cancellation Insurance.

Do you offer cancellation insurance?

We don’t, so we advise that you do get your own holiday insurance, try www.holidayplan.co.uk

Is there any flexibility on arrival days?

During the main holiday season, we only accept weekly or fortnightly bookings with start days a Friday or  Saturday as indicated.  However at other times, we try to be as flexible as possible and offer any start or end day with relaxed departure times.  Our short break stays are based on Friday to Sunday/Monday and Monday to Friday.  But again we are flexible.

Checking In

What time can I check in?

Check in time is 3pm, but if you would like to arrive earlier than this during the off peak season please contact us.

Where should I park on arrival?

If you are staying at the main Marhamchurch site, please take a look at our site map  and take guidance from that.

I have an electric car - can I charge it anywhere?

We charge £9 per Overnight charge to charge your electric car via your own extension lead from your property.  Please note this will not be possible for guests staying in certain properties due to location of parking space.  Please speak to us ahead of arrival to discuss.  There is also a Rapid Charging Unit at Bude Tourist Information Centre.

Can we have groceries delivered?

Waitrose, Asda, Sainsbury’s & Tesco all deliver to us, just give them the address and postcode and request a delivery slot after 3pm, should you get delayed then we will take delivery for you and put your freezer goods away.  You can also order local meat boxes & breakfast boxes from www.landmeetsea.co.uk

Location

How close are you to beaches?

At our Marhamchurch site we are 2.5 miles (10 mins drive) inland from the sandy Beaches of Widemouth Bay & Bude with many more lovely beaches to explore up and down the coast. Specific details can be found in your Guest Information folder within your cottage.

Our Northcott Rural Retreat Properties are half a mile from the beautiful, quiet Northcott Beach.

And Dolphins At The Beach is a hop, skip and jump from Widemouth Bay beach!

How far is the nearest GP Practice / Hospital?

Stratton Medical Centre – 3 miles away, Stratton Hospital next door has a Minor Injuries and the Closest Hospital is North Devon District Hospital in Barnstable 40 miles away.

How far is the nearest town & supermarket?

Bude is just 2 miles away and has a large Morrisons, Lidls, small Sainsbury’s, Co-Op and deli as well as all the banks, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Are there any good pubs & restaurants nearby?

There are many! But the closest are mentioned below, we have more details on our Out and About page.

For guests staying at Court Farm, Marhamchurch you have The Buller’s Arms right opposite (please check with them at the time of your stay if they are serving food, but their bar is open), a Fish & Chip Van parks up in the village between 5-6pm every Friday night & The Weir Café/Bistro is just ½ mile outside of the village, also with children’s outdoor play area and indoor wildlife centre with interaction screens.

Guests staying at Northcott- nearest Local Pub is The Preston Gate Inn, just ½ mile walk away with Bude and its large choice of pubs, restaurants and takeaways just 3 miles away

Facilities

Are your cottages child friendly?

We are extremely child friendly and holiday at Court Farm is all about them!  Growing up at Court Farm and also now having children of our own, the focus on the needs of children, with plenty of SPACE to run around in, we’ve created a large enclosed play area with swings, slides, play trail, trampoline with lots of bikes and trikes, an Indoor Play Barn with soft play section especially for the little ones with a Pool Table for the older ones, plus a DVD library and some board games.  We have animal feeding sessions where the children can help feed Georgie & Pepper the pigs, Molly & Polly our goats and collect the freshly laid eggs from our chickens.

The cottages themselves have been adapted with fitted stairgates at the top of all stairs (except in the Northcott properties when mobile stairgates are available) to save you room in your car, we can also provide standard sized wooden cots (not travel-cots), highchairs, bedguards, booster seats,  Toy Boxes, mobile stairgates, step-ups, potties, toilet training seats together with plastic crockery, cups and utensils all at no extra cost. Baby backpacks and 3 wheeler single and double buggies all available to hire.

Is the swimming pool heated?

Yes, the pool is heated to 30 degrees and is set within an enclosure so it is warm  all year round.

Are the facilities open all year round?

Yes, the pool and all of our facilities are open all year round.

Do you have Wifi?

Yes, we have Wifi across all of our properties!

Do you have recycling facilities?

Yes, we provide recycling bins as well as normal waste bins. Sustainability is very important to us, so we encourage all guests to recycle during their stay with us!

What do we need to bring?

Just yourselves and your clothes!

Is bed linen included?

Yes, all bed linen and a sheet for the cots is provided.

Are towels included?

We provide 1 towel set per guest (set comprises of 1 x bath towel plus 1 x hand towel).  We do not provide towels for Infants or for the beach or pool so ask that guests bring their own.

Do you have any cottages that are access friendly?

Parlour, Hayloft & Dolphins are all single storey with 1 access step (a ramp can be provided) and Little Northcott, The Cabin and Lower Northcott Farmhouse all have ground level access, plus bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor.

Our swimming pool and indoor play barn are also easily accessible.

Can we bring our dog(s)?

We accept well behaved dogs in all of our Traditional Cottages (Honeysuckle, Wheelwright, Fuschia, Lilac) Sycamore, Parlour and Court Farmhouse at Marhamchurch, Dolphins at Widemouth Bay & The Cabin, Little Northcott and Lower Northcott Farmhouse on our farm at Northcott.  All have enclosed gardens and we ask that owners bring their dog’s baskets or cage to sleep in when in the house. There is an additional cost of £20 per dog to be paid in cash on arrival.

Is there a shop on site?

We have a small community run village shop at Marhamchurch, just meters away, available for your morning papers and should you run out of anything.  Having been without a village shop for several years we ask our guests to use as much as possible, they are always adding to the items stocked so please do ask if you need something specific.
