Whether you are looking for a refuel after a busy day surfing on one of North Cornwall’s stunning beaches,  a refreshing beverage after a round of golf or a romantic dinner for two, we have got some great recommendations for you. 

Having spent countless hours scouring the local area for our favourite restaurants, pubs and cafes (it’s a hard life here in North Cornwall!), we have selected a few of our favourites for your perusal so you can spend more time soaking up the sun and less time choosing a place to eat and drink. Temple Restaurant Bude

Dedicated to providing food with an ethical flavour as well as showing off the best of Cornish produce, Temple is a must for anyone who identifies as a foodie. Offering a two course set menu in the evenings of modern cuisine served up by a young dynamic team, this restaurant keeps an exquisite balance of ethical, sustainable and delicious.

Temple also offers a great brunch/lunch menu as well as gorgeous coffees and baked treats. Only a short walk from Summerleaze beach and offering a takeaway service throughout the day this ethical eatery is as good for picnic lunch as it is for a contemporary epicurean evening meal.

Elements Restaurant

Situated on a cliff top between Bude and Widemouth Bay, this modern Italian eatery and bar boasts some of the best views you could wish for from a restaurant. The stylish eatery serves a beautiful Mediterranean style of food focusing on Italian cuisine and boasts lunch and dinner menus that are packed with classics and modern fusions. Also check out the daily specials in the evenings and at weekends for some of the best fish dishes around showing off the best of our top quality Cornish seafood. If wine and a light snack is more your thing the bar at Elements is stocked with everything from Prosecco and cocktails and they serve a fantastic selection of light snacks on both their lunch and dinner menus.

The Bullers Arms Pub

The Bullers Arms Pub

Located just a stone’s throw from our main site in Marhamchurch, this 19th century inn and country house is as quality as it is quaint. Serving a vast selection of drinks, from Cornish real ales to local gins and rums, this pub is full of good times and great beer all year long. A traditional Cornish Public House in all ways the Bullers Arms also boast a special selection of local live music, when restrictions allow. The pub also has a selection of pop up restaurants serving local foods throughout the summer, just call ahead or check their social media accounts to find out the flavour of the week.

The Coome Barton Inn Pub

Sitting right on the beach at the hidden gem of Crackington Haven, this large Cornish pub has it all. With gorgeous views, a great menu of modern pub classics and a huge selection of beers, wines and soft drinks this pub is one not to miss. Their Sunday Lunches are famous in the local area, using the best of local meat, and their daily specials hold local delights that change with the seasons. Run by one of the most experienced publicans in the area and staffed by a great group of locals you will always be fed and watered with aplomb in this classy tavern. In the height of summer booking is essential as it is as popular with locals as it is with visitors and gets busy quick.

The Weir Tearoom & Bistro

This modern bistro is based in Marhamchurch and close enough to our main site to wander down for a leisurely breakfast, a quality coffee or a luxurious lunch. The Weir tearoom and bistro serves up breakfasts, lunches and a great selection of homemade baked treats and hot drinks, all made with the freshest locally sourced ingredients. This family friendly lake front tearoom has recently undergone a refurbishment and has a great outside play area and an interactive wildlife area to keep little ones entertained and is dog friendly all year.

The Olive Tree Cafe

This town centre cafe and bistro is based right next to the Bude canal, and has tables outside that you can while away a lazy afternoon with great coffee or a modern Italian lunch watching the swans and kayaks paddle  by. If the weather is doing the “British thing” then there is a spacious restaurants and conservatory inside which can make North Cornwall feel mediterranean even on the wettest of days. Open all day with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus this bistro is a great choice when spending the day in Bude or on one of its lovely beaches.
