Autumn in Cornwall
Here at Court Farm, as we say goodbye to summer and welcome in October, we are always excited to introduce our guests to the amazing autumnal, sights, sounds and tastes that North Cornwall has to offer at this magical time of year.
With all the fun of halloween and the spectacular displays of fireworks night, the return of the swells and decent surf conditions in the atlantic, and the feeling of being in a gorgeous Court Farm cottage in front of a wood burner on one of those atmospheric Cornish nights, we think autumn in Cornwall is one of the best times of the year. It’s also the time of year when the Cornish countryside puts on its annual autumnal display as the hedgerows, trees and fields turn from lush greens to gorgeous golds, bronzes and reds and the blackberries and sloes are bursting to the seams with juicy goodness in the verges. Another reason why this time of year is particularly good in Cornwall is that it is less full, as the summer holidays are over, and we are able to visit our favourite spots without all the queues and summertime traffic.
It goes without saying, but we love Cornwall at all times of year and whatever the time of year the guests staying in our cottages will be greeted with a plethora of treats that the south west has to offer. Having said this, autumn is definitely in our top four seasons to spend a weekend away or a much deserved holiday in Cornwall, so we’ve collated some of our favourite things to do at this special time of year so you can be fully prepared when you come to stay.
