Surfing and Bodyboarding in Bude

Bude is renowned for its excellent surf, boasting seven fantastic beaches for surfers and bodyboarders to discover within a five-mile radius of Court Farm. While our coastline typically experiences its prime surf from September to March, May also offers ideal conditions for surfing. This spring month can be particularly favourable because the water is beginning to warm up, and with longer daylight hours, there’s more time to enjoy the waves. Additionally, May often brings consistent swells, creating optimal surfing conditions along Bude’s coastline. For beginners, there is a plethora of amazing surf schools in the area including the amazing Freewave Surf Academy located at Widemouth Bay.
